FEDORA 10/SLACKWARE 12.2

This issue's DVD brings you two great distros on one disc. Fedora 10, the latest release of the Red Hat-sponsored project, includes better wireless networking, improved printer support, and a new security audit system. Slackware 12.2, the favorite of veteran admins, is known for stability, simplicity, and a Unix look and feel.

Gnome isn't included !

Hans-Jörg Ehren / Linux Magazine Jan 28, 2009 11:56pm GMT

Hi,

you're right this was a mistake on our side. There are some GTK+ apps included, like Pidgin, Gimp, Gkrellm, GXine, Xchat, and XSane but Gnome itself is missing.

You can get it for Slackware from here: http://www.droplinegnome.org/

Sorry for the confusion!

gnome... on slack?

Fernando Scherrer Jan 28, 2009 10:07pm GMT

Hi there!

Gnome... on slack? Is it right? (fifth item down "Slackware 12.2" in the PDF).
The only package of gnome that I saw in FILELIST was the gnome-icon-theme.

Thanks.
