Google Tablet with Chromium OS?
Apple's iPad has evidently inspired the free Chromium OS and Google into developing a hardware implementation in tablet form.
Preliminary designs for what a tablet PC in slate format and the corresponding user interface would look like have popped up on the Chromium project developer page.

The keyboard would be available in a software version, with various interaction modes. Input can also be via context-sensitive overlays. Zooming and navigating with tabs along the screen edges are some additional ideas.
