New Templating Engine: Templum

Apr 06, 2009

The Dutch software developer Ferry Boender has placed the first public version of his templating engine, Templum 0.1.0, online.

Templum is a single PHP file (around 120 lines of code) integrated via "require_once()". Boender explains the simple syntax of his system in short examples on his project website. At the moment, the developer gives his creation an alpha status.

Templum 0.1.0 is available for download as source-code tarball under the MIT-/X license on the project homepage, along with a userguide and API documentation. The templating system can also be installed with the PEAR command ''pear install http://templum.electricmonk.nl/releases/templum-0.1.0.tgz''.
