Orbot: Tor Anonymity for Android Mobile Phones
The Tor project provides an Orbot package for Android mobile phones so that they too can access the Tor anonymity network.
With Orbot from Tor on Android 1.x and 2.x devices, you can protect your mobile phone from traffic and location analysis, whether it be Web surfing, emails or instant messages. For the latter, Tor developers recommend the Beem IM client in the Android Market. For Web surfing, the HTTP proxy settings are on the project webpage. For Android 2.x devices, you must acquire root privileges to proxy IP traffic.
Orbot is not available in the Android Market and needs to be downloaded from the project webpage. The software is under BSD licensing.
