- HTC Releases Android Source Code for Mobile Phones: After repeated calls from developers, HTC has now released the Android source code for a number of its mobile phones.
- Nook: E-Book Reader from Barnes and Noble: Book dealer Barnes and Noble (B&N) has announced its own e-book reader, named Nook, equipped with 3G wireless and two displays.
- Qi Hardware Working on GTK for Mini-Handhelds: A new firm from the ranks of revered OpenMoko enterprises is experimenting with running GTK+ apps on top of DirectFB for their NanoNote device running on OpenWRT announced for their fall 2009 release.
- WikiReader: Plan B of OpenMoko Realized: As OpenMoko CEO Sean Moss-Pultz was announcing his departure from the mobile phone project, he mentioned as an aside that we was indeed working on yet another project. His Plan B has now been completed.
