Hi! I’m having a problem getting my mobile broadband functioning under Linux Mint 12, KDE version (provider: Teila, Sweden; hardware: Huawei e143 on a laptop, Asus E56v). It works, however, without a glitch on Knoppix Live 7. I’ve changed KNetworkManager to the Gnome version, but it doesn’t help. The system finds the modem, connects to the telephone line, but stops while “fetching network address.” On Knoppix, it just starts after I’ve installed it and answered two or three questions.

Do you know what the difference is between how Linux Mint starts mobile broadband and how Knoppix does it?
