Etch: Security Update No.7

Feb 11, 2009

Corrections and security updates for the current stable Debian have been released.

The new 2.6 kernel build contains official fixes and kernel meta package. The update brings fixes for numerous vulnerabilities, caused by the XUL Runner, in Thunderbird, alias Icedove and Firefox, aka Iceweasel.

The perl package corrects for the third time earlier design flaws and the overwriting of arbitrary files via a symlink attack on tkman has been eliminated. Lastly, Slovaks and Slovene in Debian will now pay in Euro.

A list of important changes can be found in the announcement mail, with all changes listed on the project page.
