Sep 28, 2007

Red Hat has reinforced its Financial Division and appointed Mark Cook as Vice President for Finance and Controller. Paul Argiry will be joining the company as a Vice President and Treasurer.

Mark Cook joined Red Hat in 2004 and later was promoted to Vice President and Treasurer. According to Red Hat he has over 30 years of experience in enterprise financing and was the Financial Director of various clothing corporations before he joined Red Hat.

Paul Argiry is the new man with Red Hat. Among other things, he will be responsible for the payroll and asset management. Argiry has over 15 years of experience in finance management and worked as a Senior Financial Director with an electronics company before moving.

Both will report directly to Charlie Peters, Red Hat's Chief Financial Officer. Red Hat made another important personnel decision at management level just recently, appointing Michael Chen as Vice President Corporate Marketing as Linux Magazine reported.
