Wine 0.9.44 with New Features and Fewer Bugs

Wine, the free runtime environment for Windows applications on Linux/Unix has released version 0.9.44 with enhancements and innovations.

Among other things, Wine now automatically detects the time zone parameter settings. The developers have also reworked the integrated Wordpad which now includes a search function. Other enhancements include support for "crypt32" signatures; the release notes include a long list of bugfixes.

The project has binary packages for popular Linux distributions available for downloading. The source code is also available.
