Collax Security Gateway 4.2

Aug 22, 2007

Collax has released an update to version 4.2 of its Security Gateway solution. The Unified Threat Management solution (UTM) is now based on kernel 2.6.

Collax promises that users will be able to upgrade the security solution without reinstalling, despite a kernel change. Version 4.2 also has updated versions of the solution's components including the intrusion detection and intrusion prevention system, the Web proxy server and virus and spam filters says the vendor. The GUI for the new version is based on Ajax, which should improve user-friendliness. The Collax Security Gateway is available as of now. Prices vary depending on the number of licenses. Security Gateway is a complete solution that protects and monitors an enterprise network's Internet-facing interfaces.
