The free GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) greets the new year with bug fixes for its 2.6.x release.
The GIMP 2.6 bug fixes encompass quite a few, as reported in their recent news. One fix is to prevent a crash with the clone tool used on a layer with a part out of canvas. Another is to prevent a crash when selecting the still experimental GEGL graphics library from the Tools menu. Other fixes eradicate errors in the Save dialog for JPG, color tool activation, and default image dimension transfers for new files. GIMP 2.6.4 also includes updated language translations.
Downloads of the fixes for a variety of distros are available here.
