The new Sage Classic Line 2008 ERP solution now runs on the Collax Solution Platform based on a Linux server.
Sage Classic Line on Linux targets mid-sized enterprises with between ten and 200 staff. Sage and Collax both assure users that they do not need to be Linux gurus to run the software. A Sage wizard with modifications by Collax guides the user through the install, and helps the user to modify system settings. Any further management uses the centralized, Web-based Collax GUI.
Besides support for the Collax-Linux platform, Classic Line 2008 by Sage also runs on Windows. Prices for the ERP solution start at around 1200 Euros, plus a monthly maintenance fee of around 40 Euros per user. Users can choose between ERP and accounting, says Sage. On top of the costs for the Sage solution, users need the Collax platform, which costs about 480 Euros per year for ten users.
