Sep 16, 2008
The Linux Plumbers Conference doesn't officially begin until tomorrow, but today, event coordinators are offering an all-day mini-conference for students interested in open source.
Scheduled subjects include "Linux Social Engineering", "How To Get Paid/Credit For Open Source," and several introductory talks on programming-oriented subjects such as "Debugging" and "Device Drivers."
In addition, students who are already involved in open source development will be encouraged to talk about their projects, and representatives from companies who contribute to open source development or utilize open source products will offer their experience to the conference.
Watch 19 talks from the ApacheCon US in New Orleans from the convenience of your home or office. Topics are: Scaling Apache 2.x in all dimensions, Securing Communications with your Apache HTTP Server, Scripting your Java Application with BSF 3.0 and much more.
