Live Streaming from Linux-Kongress For Free

Linux-Kongress is by far one of the most traditional Linux conferences, with a focus on development and cutting-edge topics. If you're not able to join the program in Hamburg, Germany, in person, you can watch the keynotes from James Bottomley and Jason Corbet for free on Linux Magazine Online.

In 2008, GUUG will organize the 15th edition of this event, which first started in 1994 in Heidelberg. Linux-Kongress made its trip through a variety of German cities, Netherlands, and on the English isle (LinuxConf Europe). Since its start 14 years ago, Linux-Kongress has evolved into the most important meeting for Linux experts and developers in Europe.

On Thursday, October 9, at 9:30pm MET, James Bottomley will hold his keynote titled: What is the Value of Open Source? At the same time on Friday, October 10, you can listen to Jason Corbet give the Kernel Report, and Dirk Hohndel will talk about Mobile Linux at 4:45 am MET.

More detailed information is available on our web site.

Times are wrong

The sessions are at 9:30am (MET), not 9:30pm.
Unfortunately, that is 2:30am for me.

Additionally to the live streaming, the videos will be posted in our online archive. This will take a couple of days, since they'll have to be cut and converted, but that may offer some consolation to the time difference. (And I know people who stay awake to watch a box fight at 3 am on TV, so...)
