Openmoko Publishes Hardware-Design

Openmoko, the developer of the Open Source cellphone platform has published the CAD files for the Neo cellphone design.

The project which was launched as an independent project by Taiwanese IT corporation, FIC, is seeking to motivate industrial designers to develop new devices for the Openmoko platform. The CAD data are available under a Share Alike Creative Commons license and available from this website.

Developers and manufacturers can download files for the Neo 1973, a developer version of which can be ordered right now, to be followed shortly by the Freerunner consumer device.
