Fedora 17 is a community distro with an elegant design and all the benefits of Red Hat engineering. Version 17 comes with Linux kernel 3.3.4. New features include OpenNebula support, SELinux enhancements, automatic multiseat configuration, and the libpwquality library for password checking. The KDE 4.8 desktop sports improvements to the Plasma workspaces and now includes the Qt Quick rapid development tool. The Gnome 3.4 desktop alternative offers enhancements such as application menu integration and a redesigned network panel.
