Canonical Showcases Linux New Media Pubs
Canonical announces an innovative agreement to provide digital editions of ADMIN, Linux Magazine, and Ubuntu User through the Ubuntu Software Center.
Linux New Media, publishers of Ubuntu User, Linux Magazine, Linux Pro Magazine, and ADMIN Magazine has entered into a partnership with Canonical, makers of Ubuntu, to provide digital editions and custom PDFs for sale through the Ubuntu Software Center.
The Ubuntu Software Center is an online store integrated with the Ubuntu Linux distribution that offers both free and proprietary software products. Digital editions of Ubuntu User, Linux Magazine, and ADMIN will be available through the Software Center for US$ 6.99.
According to Linux New Media Editor in Chief Joe Casad, “Our mission is to provide the Linux community with insightful, high-quality technical articles on Linux and Open Source technology. This partnership is a great fit because we love to provide answers and insights on how to use Linux, and this kind of information is so important to all Ubuntu Users. We're very excited about reaching our audience through this innovative new channel.”
Canonical also announced a partnership with the Pearson Technology Group to provide eBooks for the Ubuntu Software Center.
