The Linux Foundation, a non-profit organization, has just launched its third desktop Linux survey and is aiming to promote the development of Linux desktops.
IT giant IBM closed its third quarter 2007 September 30 with turnover up by seven percent compared to the same period last year. Income in the third quarter rose by six percent to around US$ 2.4 billion.

Legal expert Mark Webbink, who formerly worked for Red Hat, has just joined the Board of Directors of the Software Freedom Law Center (SFLC). Webbinks gained expert knowledge of intellectual property in his former position with the Linux enterprise.
