Codename "Cilense": KDE 4.2 Release Candidate

Jan 14, 2009

Now available for download, the release candidate for KDE 4.2 brings few changes to the Beta.

With the KDE 4.2 scheduled for release on Jan 27, the first and only release candidate has been available since yesterday. Aimed at testers and reviewers, "Cilense" is an attempt to catch some last minute bugs.

Due to the lack of changes in the RC, the KDE community in its release announcement refers only to the Beta version. Anyone who wants to test the candidate can obtain current packages from the KDE 4 repository or they can translate the software from the source code (officially 4.1.96). They can also wait for the publication of another KDE Four Live CD.
