Community Edition 3.0 from Nexentastore

The community edition of Nexentastore, an Open Solaris based storage solution, has been released in version 3.0.

Thanks to the Open Solaris b134 code, the new version includes in-line deduplication for the ZFS file system. Quotas for users and groups are available and the administrator interface has been improved.

Use of the Community Edition up to 12 Tbyte is free. The current version can be upgraded to Community and Enterprise versions.

The Nexentastore Community version 3.0 is available as CD and VMware image for download, and a Xen image is due to follow shortly.
