In an effort to increase environmental awareness, the Dutch media company Spranq has introduced Ecofont, a perforated font that saves printing ink.
The simple idea: Ecofont prints letters with holes. The font is called Spranq_eco_sans_regular.ttf and is based on the freely available Open Source font Vera Sans. It can be installed with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
Instructions for the download can be found on the Spranq/Ecofont website. According to Spranq, the Linux download should function problem-free with modern distributions like Ubuntu and Fedora.
Holes save ink. The Ecofont.

I installed and printed with the font and it looks great. Completely readable and clear. I'll be using this for all my printouts and I hope that everyone conserves money and resources by using this font. It's the little things we do that add up, come on people!
nice find
