Freescale Reveals i.MX 6 Processor Series
Freescale brings the i.MX 6 processors series to tablets, smartphones, eReaders, automotive infotainment and more.
Using ARM Cortex-A9 cores, the i.MX 6 series of quad-, dual- and single-core applications processors can run up to 1.2 GHz each and deliver up to five times the performance of Freescale’s current generation of applications processors.
Applications for mobile devices featuring 3D video playback and desktop-quality gaming are included in the list of possible uses for i.MX 6 series.
