In simple terms, the ODROID game console comes down to iPhone hardware mixed with Android software in a Nintendo box.
ODROID is still only in a prototype of 300 units, but the hardware details are enticing: an 833-MHz CortexA8 Samsung ARM processor, a 3.5" touchscreen with 320 x 480 pixels, HDMI output for HDTV and video up to 720p. ODROID also provides an 802.11b/g wireless adapter, Bluetooth and motion sensor.
The software for ODROID developed by the South Korean firm Hardkernel is under free licensing, with blueprints and schematics available on their website. The first 300 prototype units with developer boards, blueprints and other details can be ordered for $350 from the Hardkernel online store. When the firsts ODROIDs will be ready for end-user consumption is not yet certain.
