Oracle Has Ported and Extended Yast

Database manufactuer Oracle has released various software projects under the GPL, including ports of Yast and the Btrfs filesystem.

Oracle's Open Source website has downloads of Yast both for Oracle's own Linux distribution, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and for Red Hat

SLES9 users will receive an additional, scriptable Yast extension, dubbed Yast-EM, for remote access. The RPM includes a colleciton of scripts for various Yast modules that give administrators the ability to configure DNS, host, network, NFS, routing and other services.

The developer version of the Btrfs filesystem which has also been published, is available for benchmarks and testing. It supports a variety of functions, such as automatic online repair, checksums, integrated (writeable) snapshots and compression.
