Red Hat Fiscal Year End Revenues Reported Over 900 Million

"With record bookings and billings in the fourth quarter, we are on a run rate to become the first pure-play open source company to achieve a billion dollars in revenues next fiscal year, a milestone achievement for Red Hat and the open source community," stated Jim Whitehurst, President and Chief Executive Officer of Red Hat.

Revenues for Red Hat's fourth quarter ended in an optimistic trend that puts this open source company on a path that to see a billion dollars in revenue reached in the upcoming fiscal year. Red Hat's fourth quartered earnings included total revenue $244.8 million, and $209.3 million secured from subscription revenue.

Its fiscal year ended with Red Hat reporting $909.3 million in total revenue—a 22% increase over the prior year.
