SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 Service Pack 1 Released
Enhanced support and improved virtualization among service pack features.
Novell announced the release of SUSE Enterprise 11 Service Pack 1 designed around improved virtualization, availability and enhanced maintenance and support.
SP1 features the open source Xen 4.0 hypervisor and Linux integration in Windows Hyper V servers. SP1 also features the Linux 2.6.32 kernel, which supports RAS features in Xeon 7500 and 5600 series processors such as improved MPIO support, MCA recovery, and Intel Rapid Storage Technology for improved RAID support.
In addition to the improved server and virtualization support, SP1 comes with Firefox, Evolution, for interoperability with Microsoft Exchange, OpenOffice.org and enhanced Bluetooth support.
