W3Perl 3.08 with Polished Interface

W3Perl, a free logfile analyzer for Web, FTP, Squid, and email servers, is available in a new, stable release.

W3Perl versioin 3.08 provides a reworked homepage that shows the vital statistics at a glance, presented via graphs, pie charts, and tag clouds. Parts of pages are dynamically refreshed; even the previous pop-up windows were replaced with Ajax elements.

The Perl software can also use protocol files from MDaemon mail servers. Adding Squid provides the ability to use separate logfiles for referrers and user agents. Unfortunately, support for load-balancing configurations will have to wait until a future version, according to developer Laurent Domisse.

W3Perl 3.08 is under GPL for Linux and Windows for download from the project homepage.
