Rekonq looks set to replace Konqueror as the standard web browser on KDE, which is reason enough to put the surfer through its paces.

In the Linux community, Rekonq is not an unknown quantity: The lean browser has been part of the Kubuntu (Ubuntu with the KDE desktop) standard lineup since version 10.10. Just like Apple’s Safari, Rekonq relies on the fast WebKit HTML rendering engine. This is a fork, or advanced development, of KHTML, the engine that Konqueror uses to render websites.
