Three strategies for better backups
Beyond Scheduled Backups
As these examples show, backups today are more than scheduling a regular cronjob. Today, backups not only need to be created, but secured and protected. Just how you interact with backups depends on your priorities and preferences. However, a varied policy seems by far the safest. Ideally, users need multiple backups on a variety of media, including both external drives and cloud services. Maintaining such an array is time-consuming, of course. Yet, in the end, the basic question remains: How much does your data matter?
