Berkeley DB for C# and STL

The embeddable database Berkeley DB is available in version 4.8.26 with new APIs.

The Berkeley DB programming interface now supports the C# .NET language and provides the matching tests and sample code. Also new is the Standard Template Library (STL) API that is compatible with C++. Developers also improved performance in concurrency for multi-threaded applications on SMP systems. The jump from 4.7 to 4.8 additionally changed the log data format.

Berkeley DB, an Oracle acquisition since 2006, is dual-licensed. Users can choose between a commercial and a BSD-like open source license. Details and downloads for UNIX/Linux and Windows are on Oracle's Berkeley DB webpages.
