Chrome For A Cause

Between now and December 19th every tab you open in Google Chrome will serve a good cause.

To participate in the promotion, install the Chrome for a Cause extension and then each tab you open will help raise money for various causes. At the end of the promotion, participants will be asked to select a charity to receive the donation.

Participants can choose among The Nature Conservancy, charity: water, Room to Read, Doctors Without Borders, and Un Techo para mi País.

Google says The Chrome for a Cause extension will be tracking tab counts but will not store users browsing history.

More information about the promotion can be found on the Chrome for a Cause website.
