Intel Announces AppUp Small Business Service on Hybrid Cloud

May 24, 2011

Intel's new AppUp Small Business Service offers advantages of cloud computing with applications and data onsite.

The subscription-based service consists of a server, catalog of prepackaged small business applications, and Intel-developed software that manages and tracks use of the application software. "Small business customers access the solution through service providers, paying on a monthly basis for the software they use, just like in the cloud, but getting the responsiveness and control of running their applications and data onsite," the announcement says.
