MeeGo Opens Bug Reporting and Feature Requests to All

Search bug histories and suggest new features.

When MeeGo announced the project's roadmap, one of the key steps for feature submission was missing. In the described model, community, working groups and upstream projects all filtered into the MeeGo public feature requests, but at the time it wasn't possible for the public to make said requests.

Now, feature requests and bug reporting are both open to anyone. At bugs.meego.com, it's possible to report existing bugs, view all bugs reported, and view tabular graphs of based on a variety of factors. It's also possible to request new features based on component, state, and hardware. You can also select hardware, architecture and the severity of the request.

Features follow the same pathway as bugs, heading upstream to a Project Manager, who evaluates the proposed feature and the, if approved, moving on to an assigned team and eventually completion. Entering a bug or a feature suggestion does require a Bugzilla account, but the creation process is relatively quick and non-invasive. Head over to bugs.meego.com to get started.
