Ubuntu Open Week is a week long online tutorial event that takes place over IRC (Internet Relay Chat) after each Ubuntu release.
Ubuntu Open Week gives participants a chance to learn about the Ubuntu landscape, talk to key developers and contributors to the project, outline the Ubuntu Canonical relationship and more.
Day one of Ubuntu Open Week started with an introduction and general question and answer (Q and A) session by Jorge Castro of the Ubuntu Community Team. Other sessions on Ubuntu Cloud, Ubuntu Development, as well as an Introduction to Unity were also presented today.
Ubuntu Open Week sessions will take place the remainder of the week from 14:00 to 18:00 UTC daily and Wednesday, May 4th, 2011, Mark Shuttleworth, founder of the Ubuntu Project, is scheduled to host the "Ask Mark" open Q and A session at starting at14:00 UTC.
