Fast Norwegian: Opera Developers Complete Version 10

Sep 01, 2009

The final version of Opera 10 is available today. Among the important changes is Turbo mode.

he new Opera Turbo mode speeds up browser connections by displaying requested webpages with compressed graphics. Other improvements include a new design and better tab handling with thumbnails of open tabs. Opera's Speed Dial was super-sized to allow for 2x2 to 5x5 grids and customized background images. The email client also underwent some improvements. The full list is on the Opera homepage.

The Opera user interface might seem modern, but continues to be based on the Qt3 widget set. This means that the browser can be installed on older Linux distros.

The download takes a mere 10 MBytes and is available from the Opera start page. The Norwegians provide packages for many Linux distros.
