Microsoft Releases OpenOffice Customer Criticism Video
Oct 14, 2010
Microsoft has released a video featuring testimonials from 15 dissatisfied OpenOffice.org customers who have since switched to Microsoft Office. The video can be found on Microsoft's YouTube channel and on Microsoft.com, which requires Silverlight. Ars Technica discovered that the opinions featured in the video, while none were attributed directly to Microsoft, many came from case studies conducted by Microsoft. All's fair in business, but when a market leader goes out of its way to attack a free, not-for-profit alternative, it's difficult to see the justification.
