Stefano Zacchiroli is Debian's New Project Leader

Debian developers have elected Italian Stefano Zacchiroli, alias Zack, as their new project leader.

Zacchiroli won the election, which was run using the Condorcet ranked voting method, with 14.11 points over his rivals Margarita Manterola, Wouter Verhelst and Charles Plessy. Second place went to Verhelst (9.62 points), third place to Manterola (7.62) and fourth place to Plessy (1.19).
Zacchiroli replaces Steve McIntyre, who had the active DPL role since 2008 and decided not tor run for a third term. Details on the DPL election are on the Debian homepage.

There's a mistake in the article -- Margarita Manterola beat Wouter Verhelst.
