SugarCRM 5.0 with Ajax and as a Service

After completing the community beta phase, SugarCRM has now released Version 5.0 of its Open Source CRM as a commercial package.

The new features the Web-based application offers include extended visualization options for dashboard data, and an email client with Ajax technology for improved usability.

The new Module Builder looks to facilitate module development for programmers. Modifications to the user interface by the user are now stored separately to enable trouble-free software updates.

The CRM system is available in various versions: besides the Community Edition which is available under the GPLv3 and the "on site" version, there is an on-demand version, which is hosted by vendor on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) basis. Sugar Professional On-Demand is available for a free 30-day trial subject to registration.
