HP and Canonical are working together to get Ubuntu certified for HPs Proliant servers.
According to a study by Canonical (registration needed), the popularity of the Ubuntu server system is far greater than that of Debian, Centos, Red Hat or Novell, and a diagram in the Ubuntu blog also shows the extensive proliferation of HP hardware.
HP and Canonical regard the outcome of the study as an opportunity to intensify their cooperation on the server market. As a result, all Proliant HP servers are to issue an Ubuntu certification, and, as Matt Murphy says in his blog, the two companies have promised to work even closer together to optimize compatibility of HP servers and Ubuntu.

HP and Canonical are working together to get Ubuntu certified for HPs Proliant servers. For those who feel that the concept of this blog is quite interesting, the probability is you are thinking about using Linux as your number one or simply a substitute Operating system when you find yourself simply sick and tired of your old OS. Unfortunately the majority feel that Linux is too challenging that it is attractive only to geeks, Linux-magazine.com might demonstrate that this extraordinary operating-system is essentially for most people. It is regularly worthwhile to find out about Certified Ubuntu on HP Server.
Just to be clear the Ubuntu server survey showed how Ubuntu is doing in the enterprise. It doesn't make any statements about Ubuntu server being more popular that other distributions.
