Samsung Reveals Galaxy Tab

7 in. tablet to run Android 2.2, support video calling, Swype and more.

Samsung gave the first official glimpse of the Galaxy Tab, the 7-in. handheld tablet with Android 2.2 onboard.

Little is known about the device past what is seen in the trailer. It supports HD movie playback, Swype, Flash, full Web browsing, and apps via the Android Marketplace and other app stores –– basically everything that Android 2.2 supports.

Gizmodo reports that the device features a 1024 x 600 AMOLED screen, a 3.2 megapixel camera and a front-facing camera for the aforementioned video chat. But these features along with the processor, its speed, and onboard memory and expansion capabilities are all unconfirmed.

Details will became a clear soon, as the teaser video promised more information the IFA trade show in Berlin on September 2.
