This article will help you decide what best suits your needs. One video distribution approach is to download the file completely and view the local copy. The other approach is to opt for streaming, which allows users to watch something as soon as the first few packets have reached their machines. The stream can start on demand by the client, or it can start at a fixed time without waiting for the viewers (live stream).
