Announcing Smart Developer Magazine
ROSE Blog: Rikki's Open Source Exchange
Last week, before taking off to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday, I had the happy task of announcing our newest print magazine: Smart Developer. If you're into (or want to get into) mobile app development, then this is the magazine for you.
Our first issue of Smart Developer is hitting newsstands in Europe now and should arrive in North America in mid-late December. (And if you're worried you'll miss it on the newsstands, you're welcome to subscribe!) This first issue includes some pretty cool articles by Joe 'Zonker' Brockmeier, Marcel Gagné, Steven Vaughan-Nichols, Dmitri Popov, Markus Feilner, Mark Hawker, and other mobile app experts... But what does this have to do with women in open source?
When you read through the Smart Developer masthead, you'll see plenty of women in the mix, and Lauren Darcey co-wrote the Android intents article on page 74. But I'd like to see more women represented in our list of authors, which is where you come in. Tell your friends, families, and colleagues that we're looking for mobile app-development articles for our upcoming issues of Smart Developer. If you or someone you know would like to write for us, visit: http://www.smart-developer.com/Contact/Write-for-us
If you haven't submitted an article before or you've never been published, don't let that deter you. If you've got an awesome article idea, we want to see it!
Happy reading, and happy writing!
