The North American Fedora User and Developer Conference (FUDCon) was held on Arizona State University campus in Tempe Arizona from January 29 -31, 2011 and proved to be the largest FUDCon to date with over 200 people pre-registered to attend and final attendance numbers estimated around 175 people.

The CeBIT Open Source project lounge which is part of CeBIT Open Source called for projects to apply for free exhibit space. A jury has now selected and announced the fifteen free, non-commercial projects that will receive exhibit space at CeBIT for free.

During CeBIT 2011 open source projects such as Crypto Stick, USB stick developed to allow easy and high-secure encryption of emails and more, will have the opportunity to showcase what is currently in active development.

During CeBIT 2011 open source projects such as Navit, on-Board open source navigation software, will have the opportunity to showcase what is currently in active development.

During CeBIT 2011 open source projects such as GROUP-E, a web-based groupware and collaborative software solution, will have the opportunity to showcase what is currently in active development.

During CeBIT 2011 open source projects such as TYPO3, open-source content management system, will have the opportunity to showcase what is currently in active development.

During CeBIT 2011 open source projects such as Enlightenment, known for its Windowmanager, will have the opportunity to showcase what is currently in active development.

During CeBIT 2011 open source projects such as Tellmatic, PHP and Mysql based easy-to-use Newsletter system, will have the opportunity to showcase what is currently in active development.
