Virtual desktops in your web browser with phpVirtualBox

Putting all virtualization tasks on a separate server saves significant resources on the client. phpVirtualBox makes it possible to create, configure, manage, and use remote VMs in a browser window.
If you use only one virtualization solution on your local Linux PC, very likely that tool is Oracle's VirtualBox [1]. The free VirtualBox, with its easy installation and intuitive graphical user interface, is similar in scope to VMware Workstation and stands up to it in almost every respect.
Virtualization offers several advantages for stability and convenience. If you operate a server on the network, you might want to equip it with sufficient memory, hard drive space, and a CPU with virtualization (VT) extension so you can use it as a host for virtual server instances.
Managing those virtual instances adds new complications. Standard remote server management tools either don't work or don't work well with virtual systems. A new generation of virtual management utilities has emerged, but many of these enterprise-ready tools are far too elaborate or complicated for a small and simple VirtualBox environment.
