OTRS AG: More Revenue, New Daughters
OTRS AG, the company behind the OTRS open source trouble ticket request system, experienced an increase in revenue in 2009 over the previous year of 73%, to a EUR 3.2 million figure.
The company has not released more detailed revenue figures since it joined the Frankfurt stock exchange the end of December. However, it does indicate that its employees increased from 23 to 34 in 2009. OTRS AG also plans a software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering along with its support and service plans.
OTRS is represented in the U.S. by its daughter company OTRS Inc., managed by former Red Hat marketing director Paul Salazar. A new daughter firm is also planned for Mexico that will cover the Central and South American market.
