Stable Release of Phorum 5.2
The popular free forum software, Phorum has just released a new stable version 5.2.5.
According to the project, the new features include improved MySQL support, the new default template which is based on XHTML 1.0, and new APIs which facilitate management. The project has dedicated a separate website to the APIs. There are also new modules including one for announcements, events and for fighting spam. The latter combats at least some forum spammer tricks. The search function has also been revised. Phorum 5.2 is available for downloading on the project website.
