Surfing Lite: Dillo 2.1
The small graphical Web browser Dillo written in C/C++ recently graduated to the next version. In the process it improved its CSS support and now provides users keybindings and CSS layout compatibility.
Dillo 2.1 is to use just half the memory footprint of Dillo 1, and that was already pretty small. The new version released June 20 has a long list of changes and bug fixes. Included are improvements to the browser's IPv6 support, implementation of "search previous" and configurable keybindings in ~/.dillo/keysrc.
Dillo 1 inherited the CLI from its predecessor and added the View Stylesheets option to its menus. Developers also fixed some memory leaks and segmentation faults.
All in all, Dillo 2.1 works better with CSS and recognizes more XML elements. It parses CSS requests better, can read styles from ~/.dillo/style.css and supports the @import directive. The project's changelog page has all the details. Curious users will find packages for Debian, Ubuntu and Fedora, as well as sources, on the download page.
