Braindump Brings Ideas to Computer
KDE developer Cyrille Berger now provides his Braindump whiteboard program in its first public release. The GPL software is based on KOffice technology.
Braindump should help users put their ideas into digital format. This includes numerous whiteboards that the user can organize and categorize, write and draw on, and include graphics in. Concurrent with the release of Braindump 0.8.0, Berger issued a video showing the program in action.
Braindump currently works together with KOffice 2.1.x, with the intention of moving on to version 2.2. Thanks to this foundation, the application comes out with only about 8,000 lines of code. Future features should include search and replace, tagging for collaborative work and auto-growing text fields.
Braindump 0.8.0 is under GPLv2 licensing and is available for download as a source code tarball from Berger's blog page.
