Available Now Splashtop OS Featuring Chromium Browser
Announced today, Splashtop OS which features the Chromium browser and Bing search engine is now available for download.
"For people who spend all their time using web apps and services like Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox Google Docs and Gmail, adding a fast, safe and secure browser-centric environment to the traditional desktop-oriented environment makes total sense," said Phil Sheu, CTO and co-founder of Splashtop Inc in the press release today. "With Splashtop OS, users don’t need to buy new dedicated hardware, and they don’t need to wait for six months – they can get it today. If Splashtop OS had a middle initial, it would be ‘N’ for ‘now’."
Splashtop OS is designed to deliver instant web access. The benefits to using the Splashtop OS as listed on its website include: quick startup, easy instant search tools powered by Bing, Linux-based platform running Chromium v8 and more.
A full list of supported platforms and list pre-installed notebooks and netbooks are available as well. Users who want more information on downloading the Splashtop OS please visit the Splashtop OS website.
