Coverity 6.0 Released
Coverity rolls out a new testing tool and launches a developer community.
Coverity, Inc. has announced the latest version of its development testing platform, Coverity 6.0, and a new online developer community, called CoverityConnect.
According to the company, Coverity 6.0 makes it faster and easier to share defect information across geographically distributed development teams. “Today’s development organization consists of distributed teams across geographic regions. Breaking down silos and sharing information is an imperative given increasingly rapid delivery cycles,” said Jennifer Johnson, vice president of marketing at Coverity.
New features in Coverity 6.0 include: improved defect management collaboration through a simplified and centralized defect management database, customized defect management workflow, enhanced analysis coverage with more than 40 new or enhanced quality and security checkers, and enhanced Java quality performance with up to 2x Java analysis speed improvements.
The CoverityConnect online community, based on the Jive platform, provides a central place for developers, Coverity users, and technical experts to collaborate and share experience and best practices. CoverityConnect offers: developer forums, Coverity product forums, Coverity code exchange, and a Coverity Security Research Laboratory. For more information, see: http://www.coverity.com.
